Oooh yeah, definitely try again soon! Hope you find some paying work dude... shit, maybe even local cable TV, worse comes to worse.
Local TV in this country is basically just local news I think.
I don't think I can do much for them, except maybe make coffee or do some logos.
DING DONG! Great stuff.
Thanks Tom!
You a good mayn!
I will recommend you to my nearest capitalist.
sexcellent!
Remember when newgrounds was ALL like this?
Yeh I sometimes miss the days I made shorts on Newgrounds.
The neat thing about that was that I regularly got feedback and I was in the spotlight more often.
While working on "Anusboy: The Movie" for so long I sometimes feel like everyone has forgotten about me, but I guess it will all be worthwhile when it's finished.
So there's no hope of commercial TV work? How about advertising agencies?
Well there are some animation studios here. They mostly make shorts or do commercial work.
And then there's still illustration and game graphics and other stuff I can do.
But this country doesn't produce many animated series or the likes.
There are some like Alfred Jodocus Kwak, Boes (Ox Tales) and David the Gnome which were mostly made by foreign companies.
And then there are a few like Purno de Purno and the White Cowboy, but not much next to that.
The Netherlands has some nice animations here and there, but it ain't really a big player on the animation scene, which is a bit of a shame.
The bit with Anusboy eating a sandwich is looking SUPERB.
I'm glad you liked that part!
It was one hell of a job to animate it.
Nobody has forgotten about you, and I hope you can get back to shorts once Anusboy: the movie is out!
Welllllll the problem is that most of the ideas floating in my head are for long stories or even series, but we'll see what the future holds!
Curious, do you accept donations?
I do!
There's a donate button on the bottom left of this page: http://www.nekrotherium.com/home/
I've actually gotten some donations from some nice people, which is lovely and I'm very grateful for them.
Hey, what about Titmouse or other animation companies? You speak English, you have a computer connection.. :\ I started out (pre-internet) by doing a public-access cable TV show (like Wayne's World), I met people doing that... No local businesses are advertised on your TV?
Maybe leave a few business cards around music studios - if they got the money to produce there, then maybe they'll have some cash left over for a music video. Swanky summer camps will sometimes hire professionals to run a class, in something kids might like.
D'you have a good business suit and a few business cards?
I've been thinking about sending some job applications abroad.
Thing is, I still haven't translated my resume into English (silly me), but I'll do that soon.
And the music studio idea is a good one!
I'll look into that!
I do got a suit, but I should indeed start making some nice business cards.
I even got coupons to print a bunch for free, I should use em.
It's great to see you are still going strong with "Anusboy: The Movie". While I will admit it is a shame not seeing as much of you on here as the old days, it still makes me excited to follow your progress on other sites. Keep working towards your dream!
Your words are looking worryingly positive, Waldermar. Nevertheless, you are one of the largest inspirations for me and I will love you forever.
